How to review temporary files before cleaning your Windows PC
A practical cleanup workflow for Windows 10 and 11: use the official download, review categories and choose what to remove before running cleanup.
Start a Windows cleanup with a specific goal, such as reviewing temporary files that may be taking up disk space. Disk cleanup, memory controls, startup management and gaming presets address different tasks. Removing temporary files is not a promise that every computer or game will run faster.
Download Nitrafe One Cleaner from https://nitrafe.one/downloads. The official page provides Windows EXE and MSI installers, the current release information and a SHA-256 checksum. Use the official download rather than a copy offered by an unfamiliar download site. Cleaner is available for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11.
Open Cleaner and run a scan. Review the categories and the reported results before starting cleanup. Temporary files, browser caches and Windows leftovers can have different consequences when removed. Leave a category unselected when you are unsure, and keep backups of important files. A large amount of identified data is a reason to inspect the result, not a reason to delete everything automatically.
After cleanup, review the result and check that the applications you use behave as expected. Do not repeatedly clean just to chase a larger number. Cache files may be recreated as applications run again. For changes that affect system configuration, create a restore point first; a restore point is not a substitute for a backup of personal documents.
Cleaner Free provides a starting point for scans and cleanup. Cleaner Pro adds premium Game Boost presets and unlimited use of the uninstall feature. Free uninstalling has an allowance of two uses per calendar month. See https://nitrafe.one/products/cleaner for the current feature and plan details.
Choose a paid plan only when its tools and PC allowance match your needs. Cleaner has separate licenses from Nitrafe One PDF. The shared Nitrafe account helps you manage products; buying a plan for one product does not automatically include another.
